The Luciferian Sequence: The Regressive Version Of The 6, 7, 8 Cycle

ver the years, many Christians have observed the pattern referenced as the 6, 7, 8 Cycle without actually recognizing that it is a recurring pattern which runs throughout the Scriptures. For those who have never heard of it, it's relatively easy to understand, as it simply codifies a repetitious, transitional pattern.

Perhaps the premier example is Lucifer, as it is an easily understood regressive version of the 6, 7, 8 Cycle. As a created angelic being, Lucifer would be symbolized by the number 6, for creation was accomplished in 6 days. The number 7, representing the eternal, or the rest (read Sabbath), or finished work of God, symbolizes Spiritual things, and the number is the result when the 6 is processed through an encounter (or collision) with the 7.

In the Luciferian Sequence, Scripture says that Lucifer was perfect until he encountered what the Apostle Paul referenced as the "mystery of iniquity" (II Thesalonians 2) – which is certainly a Spiritual expression – and the things of eternal consequence. The prophets provide the specifics:

"How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! Thou was perfect in thy ways from the day that thou was created, till iniquity was found in thee" (Isaiah 14:12, Ezekiel 28:15).

These two verses, drawn from two portions of Scripture (both of which detail the fall of the "anointed cherub" known as Lucifer), carry a great deal of information.

First, we see movement, indicating a transition. Lucifer has "fallen." To reduce the fall to its most elementary components, we see there are three aspects already built in to any such sequence. You have before the fall, the fall itself, and after the fall. Those three phases provide a very basic version of the 6, 7, 8 Cycle.

The "before" stage not only tells us that Lucifer was "created," we also learn that he was
"perfect" at that point. This is easily reduced to the number 6, which is associated with the creation of all things, for Genesis tells us that at each stage of the creation, God said that it was "good."

Indeed, few realize that as God brought forth the "light," He said it was "good" (Genesis 1:10), and when He made the grass and the trees, He also said "it was good" (Genesis 1:12). The same occurs when theLORD makes the sun and the moon, as well as the animals – and in every case, He calls the creation good. In fact, during the progressive stages of creation, God says "it was good" six times – a fascinating Spiritual signature of the perfection of His work.

Many know the name Lucifer actually means lightbearer, and since God made the light on the first day, it follows that Lucifer's creation occurs within the boundaries of the entire creation which, once again, is clearly associated with the number six.

Incidentally, it's important to recognize that Lucifer is never seen as the light himself, for the Scriptures tell us that God Himself is the light:

"God is light, and in him is no darkness at all" (I John 1:5).

As the lightbearerLucifer was what the Scriptures call a "vessel of honour" (II Timothy 2:21), but after "bearing" the light of God, we see a change, as the concept of iniquity is introduced. In its most rudimentary form, although there is much more to the subject of the lawlessness at the root of the word "iniquity," it's not difficult to equate iniquity with evil.

Obviously, the Scriptures tell us the vessels of dishonor, those physical people and earthly institutions which are essentially "iniquity bearers" (as opposed to lightbearers), are not the true enemy of God and His people, for it is in the Spiritual realm that we find our real opposition is described as:

"…principalities…[and] powers…the rulers of the darkness of this world…[the] spiritual wickedness in high places" (Ephesians 6;12).

This is the Spiritual substance of evil which Lucifer encountered, and since it sequentially follows the perfection (the "good") seen in the creation signified by the number six, it can only be symbolized by the Spiritual seven. Furthermore, as the very opposite of good, this sets up the two polarities which are basic to the formula seen in the regressive version of the 6, 7, 8 Cycle.

As Lucifer exchanges the light of God (as the lightbearer), we see he is transformed into the one who "bears" the evil – and this completion of the pattern is signified by the number – which is widely recognized as a numeric equivalent of a new beginning.

Most everyone knows the eighth day is actually the first day of a new cycle of sevens, so the 8 in the 6, 7, 8 Cycle shows the completion of the transition, and starts the process over again. In the case of theLuciferian Sequence, the completion of the cycle is accentuated by the fact that, after Lucifer the perfect (6) encounters the iniquity (7), he has been processed to become Satan (8).

The fact that this process can be mathematically calculated is interesting in and of itself, for in the very same Scripture describing the fall of Lucifer, we find a reference to the Luciferian Sequence:

"Thou sealest up the sum…." (Ezekiel 28:12).

Most Scripturally literate individuals know and understand that when the text tells us something is sealed, it connotes a permanence or something of lasting consequences. To say the fall of Lucifer has lasting consequences has to be one of the greatest understatements in history.

In this brief look at the pattern, I've only scratched the surface, but I will note that this is directly related to prophecy at the end of the age, for the book of Revelation articulates this very same formula when it describes the Antichrist power:

"And there are seven kings…And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition" (Revelation 17:10,11).

The 6, 7, 8 Cycle clearly shows the 8 in the pattern to be comprised of the 7, and in the regressive version wherein Lucifer is transformed into Satan, we see the primary example of good devolving into evil. There is much more to this amazing system, but I will have to continue this exposition in a future edition of this periodical.
